Things...were...INSANE over the summer. I had so much down time but I couldn't fit any of my craft stuff in my suitcase (packing was a nightmare) so I couldn't make ANYTHING over the summer which was really disappointing for me...
On the other hand, the experience was INCREDIBLE. I was a dancer/magic assistant for a wonderful magician named Hellevi. She is absolutely incredible and I can only hope to be able to work with her again!
Not only was I dancing, but I got to wear some of the most elaborate costumes I've seen, learned the ins and outs of huge magic tricks and illusions, made some really good friends, and overall had an incredible experience. There were its ups and downs, as any job, but I'm really glad I ended up going.

I am, however, VERY happy to be home and begin working on my next endeavors! I've finished up all commissions I had earlier, turned an old pillow into a new one that matches my room (my room is all purple, gray, and black...go figure), and even started on some other things!

I'm going to start and try using my journals more hah (TRY IS THE KEYWORD).

So, I had an offer a while back for a four month contract for a dance job in New Jersey. Four months was a long time so I had declined it. However, the choreographer contacted me again saying that it was only two months. She just asked me to send her my headshot and resume and lo and behold, here I am traveling to Atlantic City, NJ for two months! 
It's going to be a HUGE change but I'm really hoping that this will kick start my career. I know that this will open up a lot more opportunities in the future but I'm still scared, not going to lie....

I'm going to be a dancer/magicians assistant in a magic show in one of the casinos! This is so completely different than anything I've done before and I'm super anxious about everything.

I've been at my boyfriends place in Vegas for the week (he's taking care of my car while I'm gone) and I fly out to Reno on Monday morning, then I'll be off to the east coast on the 20th!

I had a huge concern about not being able to practice quidditch while I was gone but the community is so amazing and I was put in contact with some people who hold practices in New Jersey which I will hopefully be able to attend. 

Two months is a long time but I have a feeling once I get there things will go by quickly!

In any case, I probably won't be posting anything new here since I won't have access to any of my craft stuff and I want to minimize buying things while I'm there >.<

I do have one bag of yarn to hopefully make some little things though!!!!

Anyways...World Cup 8 happened for quidditch and I could not be more proud of my team and the West Coast as a whole. Our team had the most difficult route out of anyone and we came away extremely proud. Although we didn't win, or go as far as we would have liked, I loved every bit of world cup this year and can't wait until next year. I have a feeling that next year we will come back even stronger than before--we have the drive and will to win it. 

In case you don't know what real quidditch looks like, check out my team here! Last year I played on the Lost Boys, but this year I am playing on the L.A. Gambits. I love the Lost Boys to death (shout out to madizzlee) and every time we play them it's so heart wrenching because we've all become good friends so it's a win-win, lose-lose situation each time. 




Anyways...World Cup was incredible. I had a week to rest but now it's back to training!
